1. So What Exactly is Advanced tv?
Advanced tv is a digital television service that is delivered to you at ultra light-speed via the advanced fiber-optics network. Advanced tv Fiber-optic lines are strands of optically pure glass that are as thin as a human hair. Go ahead pluck a strand and look at it for a second. It’s actually pretty amazing. Fiber-optic lines can carry ext raordinary amounts of digital information such as Advanced tv, Digital Phone, and Light Speed Internet; over great distances.
Because Advanced tv fiber lines can deliver such large amounts of information; (Just one fiber optic cable can service hundreds of Advanced tv, Light Speed Internet and Digital Telephone customers over a pretty impressive area.) and it is here that I would say the “Advanced” part of Advanced tv starts; but we’re just getting into it.
There a quite a few aspects that give fiber-optics and Advanced tv the advantage over previously dated systems that use copper for instance. First of all Fiber-optic cables are far less expensive to produce. A thousand feet of fiber can be made a lot cheaper then what it would cost to make a thousand feet of copper cable. So the company can lay fiber at longer distances for cheap. This also makes it easier to offer Advanced tv at a less expensive price then even late model copper systems.
Also optical fibers are so much thinner than old copper wires, and quite a bit more fibers can be bundled into a set-diameter or thickness of cable than the old copper wires. This allows more phone lines to go over the same cable or more channels to come through the cable and into your Advanced tv boxes.
Different from transmitting electrical signals, like in old fashioned copper wires, the light signals that are transferred through one fiber will never interfere with those of other fibers in the same cable. This makes for clearer digital phone conversations and the ultra high quality reception that Advanced tv is known for. Because signals in optical fibers come through with less degradation, lower-power transmitters can be used instead of the high-voltage electrical transmitters needed for copper wires. Here is yet another reason why the Advanced tv, Digital Phone, and Internet system is less expensive... (More Coming This Week)
